«2001: Despega como puedas» is a science fiction comedy starring Leslie Nielsen, released in 2000 and edited on DVD.
Marshal Richard «Dick» Dix, a clumsy agent, is sent to the Moon to rescue the President of the United States, who has apparently been replaced by a clone. The film parodies science fiction cinema, especially «2001: A Space Odyssey», and combines absurd humor, misunderstandings and political satire in the style of Leslie Nielsen.
Original title: 2001: A Space Travesty. DVD edition distributed by Cinecorp with English and Spanish language options.
For fans of absurd comedy and science fiction parodies starring Leslie Nielsen.
