«Aita» is the movie by José María de Orbe (2015), starring Luis Pescador and Mikel Goenaga, on DVD.
The film takes place in an old semi-abandoned mansion on the outskirts of San Sebastián, where a caretaker and the village priest meet among rooms full of shadows, sounds and memory. With a gaze close to documentary, the house becomes a space inhabited by the ghosts of Basque history: the work speaks of death, faith and the possibility that life continues.
Deluxe edition published by Karma Films with booklet and the additional version «Aita, carta al hijo». Audio in Spanish (Dolby Digital 2.0) and subtitles in Spanish and English.
Movie suitable for viewers interested in slow, poetic cinema, with contemplative atmospheres and a documentary tone.
