Two elderly sisters, Libby and Sarah, spend a summer at their cottage in Maine, confronting memories of the past and the uncertainty of their future. Directed by Lindsay Anderson, this moving film features masterful performances by cinema legends Bette Davis and Lillian Gish, who delicately portray the complexity of family bonds and aging. Set in a serene coastal environment, the story explores themes of loneliness, reconciliation, and the search for meaning in the final years of life.
