Sweden, early 20th century. Henrik, a theology student of humble origins, meets Anna, the stubborn daughter of a well-off family. Despite family opposition and the rigidity of the class system, they begin a long and complex love story, inspired by Ingmar Bergman's parents. A somber and beautiful chronicle where the triumph of love does not always equal happiness.
The movie runs 176 minutes and includes the original Swedish version with Spanish dubbing and subtitles. PAL DVD edition, region 2, not recommended for under-12s.
