Synopsis of Monsieur Batignole

Monsieur Batignole is a poignant film set in occupied France during World War II. The story follows Edmond Batignole, an ordinary man who, after his Jewish neighbors are deported, unexpectedly finds himself involved in protecting a young boy who manages to escape. Through this act of courage, Batignole faces moral dilemmas and dangers that will transform his life forever. Directed by and starring Gérard Jugnot, known for his role in 'The Chorus', this work combines drama and historical tension with a human and emotional narrative.
