Las Vegas showroom magician Cris Johnson has a secret which torments him: he can see a few minutes into the future. Sick of the examinations he underwent as a child, he lives under an assumed name in Vegas, performing cheap tricks and living from hand to mouth. When he meets Liz, he sees beyond the short time span of his other visions and knows that he wants to be with her. But when terrorists threaten to detonate a nuclear device in Los Angeles, the FBI needs Cris's help to prevent the disaster.
