«Nosotros No Envejeceremos Juntos» is the 1972 movie by Maurice Pialat, starring Jean Yanne and Marlène Jobert, on DVD.
Chronicle of the relationship between Jean, a violent filmmaker, and Catherine, an immature young woman. They separate and get back together amid arguments, jealousy, and brief reconciliations, with promises that are never kept. The film unsparingly portrays the erosion of a love built on dependence, in which neither knows how to live fully together or apart.
Maurice Pialat's second feature film. Jean Yanne won the Best Actor award at the 1972 Cannes Film Festival. Running time: 145 minutes. Spanish edition from Intermedio.
Audiences interested in French cinema of the 1970s and in uncompromising relationship dramas.
