After leaving the carabinieri, Marshal Carotenuto returns to his hometown of Sorrento, hoping to take command of the local urban guard. His joy is short-lived when he discovers he cannot move into his house, as it is occupied by a young widow named Donna Sofia, a beautiful fishmonger known as 'La brava'. This classic Italian comedy, directed by Dino Risi and starring Sophia Loren and Vittorio de Sica, is a charming story full of humor and romance set on the picturesque Italian coast.
