Nando Moriconi, a young man from the Trastevere neighborhood in Rome, is obsessed with everything American. He alternates his strong Roman accent with implausible Americanisms and constantly repeats dialogues from American films. His attempts to emulate American culture lead him to comical situations and entanglements. This funny movie, with typical Italian humor, shows Nando's misadventures in his quest for Americanization.
