«Un paseo bajo el sol» (A Walk in the Sun) is the war movie starring Dana Andrews and Richard Conte, on DVD.
In the middle of the Second World War, a platoon of the US army advances through Italy with the mission of taking a fortified farm. The film dwells on the soldiers' experience: the fatigue, the fears and the conversations that keep morale alive along the way. The violence of combat is rationed and what ends up central is the group's camaraderie in sustaining a mission that seems endless.
