«Una función para olvidar» is the movie by Martín Garrido Ramis starring Maria Castillo, Freddy Novillo and Fernando Esteso, on DVD.
This dramedy follows an eccentric provincial actress who moves her theatre company into a small hotel by the sea so rehearsals for the new play aren't distracted. Living together brings out the worst in everyone: jealousy, vanity and cruelty turn a month into an intense and, at times, magical experience.
Spanish feature film, 95 minutes, released by Cameo on region 2 DVD. Original audio in Spanish, no subtitles or dubbing. Not recommended for under-17s.
Will appeal to fans of Spanish ensemble cinema, filmed theatre and followers of Fernando Esteso.
