Synopsis of West Side Story

«West Side Story» is the movie by Jerome Robbins and Robert Wise, starring Natalie Wood, Richard Beymer and Rita Moreno, on DVD.

«West Side Story» adapts the Broadway musical and moves «Romeo and Juliet» to 1950s New York: the love between Tony and Maria clashes with the rivalry between two street gangs, the Jets and the Sharks, and ends up unleashing a spiral of violence. Its songs, such as «America», «Somewhere» and «Tonight», and its choreography are an essential part of the movie.

Winner of 10 Academy Awards, this special edition (region 2, PAL) offers audio in English and Spanish, 145 minutes and a rating not recommended for children under 7.
