Fanis, a Greek astrophysicist, returns to Istanbul when his grandfather Vassilis falls ill. The journey evokes his childhood, when his grandfather taught him astronomy using spices as a mirror of the universe, in a city marked by the expulsion of the Greeks in 1964. Memory, gastronomy and bonds broken by history merge in a drama with touches of comedy and romance.
Audio in Greek and German (Dolby Digital 2.0), with German subtitles.
For those seeking a nostalgic drama about family, exile and the meeting of two cultures through cooking.
