«Ben Folds Five» is the self-titled debut album by the band Ben Folds Five, released in 1995 by Astralwerks on CD.
The group's sound is built around the piano as the main instrument, with a distorted bass and energetic drums; on that foundation, they craft melodic pop songs with a punk and indie spirit. Among the album's most representative tracks are «Underground», «Philosophy» and «Boxing».
Single-disc CD edition, originally released on July 17, 1995; the songs are in English and the lineup was the trio led by pianist Ben Folds.
For those who enjoy 90s alternative rock with pop melodies, a lead piano and an attitude close to indie and punk.
