«Bilitis (Bande Originale Du Film)» is the original soundtrack of David Hamilton's film, composed by Francis Lai and reissued on vinyl LP in 1987.
Francis Lai's music for David Hamilton's film recreates a sensual, dreamlike atmosphere, with pieces moving between jazz-funk, easy listening and chamber music. Soft synthesizers and classical melodies turn the soundtrack into a work that evokes the film's visual aesthetic and also works as standalone listening.
French 1987 edition on vinyl LP, released by Mélodie Distribution, with gatefold sleeve and catalogue number 800331.
Aimed at collectors of European soundtracks and fans of easy listening and 1970s jazz-funk.
