«Brasil» is the album by The Manhattan Transfer, released in 1987 on Atlantic, on vinyl LP.
The album brings the group's sound closer to the Brazilian repertoire: on a base of vocal jazz, pop and Latin rhythms, The Manhattan Transfer performs nine tracks with choral arrangements and titles such as «Capim», «Água» and «Hear the Voices», showing that blend of vocalese and Brazilian melodies.
33 RPM LP with nine tracks, produced by Tim Hauser and with arrangements by Jeff Lorber, Wagner Tiso and Larry Williams.
Aimed at fans of vocal jazz and pop-Latin fusion, with a special interest in Brazilian music.
