«Din Din Dan» is the album by Monk'O Marok, released in 2000 on Enja Records, on CD.
The group, formed in Toulouse, fuses contemporary jazz with world sounds and tribal rhythms: improvisation coexists with enveloping percussion and folk-tinged textures. The result is an experimental work with an ethnic character. The cover, featuring a child among potatoes, underscores that earthy, down-to-earth aesthetic.
Record released in Germany with catalogue number ENJA CD 9125-2, framed in contemporary jazz and tribal style.
Will appeal to collectors of European jazz and world music listeners who appreciate complex rhythmic structures.
