«Gabrieli / Monteverdi: Antiphonal Music» is the classical music album by The Canadian Brass, released in 1989 by Sony on CD.
It brings together works by Giovanni Gabrieli and Claudio Monteverdi performed by the brass quintet The Canadian Brass. Antiphonal music, which alternates groups of performers, becomes a dialogue of trumpets and trombones. The selection includes instrumental pieces by Gabrieli and passages from Monteverdi's Vespers.
The recording lasts 71 minutes. The cover, with a view of St. Mark's Square, shows the CBS Records Masterworks logo.
For fans of classical music, Venetian repertoire and arrangements for brass quintet.
