«Meeting: Two Worlds of Modal Music» is the album by Dominique Vellard, Ken Zuckerman, Swapan Chaudhuri and Keyvan Chemirani, released on CD in 2004.
The record brings together two modal worlds: the ragas of India and European medieval chant. The four musicians combine the sarod and tabla with medieval monody and polyphony, creating a dialogue between East and West.
Released by Harmonia Mundi in the Documenta series of the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis; a single CD.
Will appeal to those who enjoy classical music, early music and world music.
