«Raizes Do Samba» is the compilation album by Paulinho da Viola, released in 1999 by EMI on CD.
The album, whose title means 'roots of samba', brings together a repertoire of Brazilian samba performed by Paulinho da Viola. The cover, showing the smiling musician with his viola in front of an arched building under a blue sky, reinforces the idea of returning to the genre's origins.
The sleeve bears the legend 'GRAVAÇÕES ORIGINAIS REMASTERIZADAS', meaning the recordings are original and remastered.
