«Tracy Chapman» is the self-titled debut album by American singer-songwriter Tracy Chapman, released in 1988 by Elektra on vinyl LP.
The record combines folk rock and pop with lyrics that move from the personal to the social. Standout tracks include «Fast Car», «Talkin' 'bout a Revolution» and «Baby Can I Hold You», three songs that became classics in Chapman's repertoire.
The single-disc LP contains eleven songs. For this work, Tracy Chapman received three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist.
For fans of folk rock and 1980s singer-songwriters, as well as collectors of classic vinyl.
