«Vinyl» is the debut album by Portuguese band The Gift, released in 1998 on CD.
The record develops an atmospheric electronic sound blending ambient, downtempo, trip hop and electronic pop. The cover, in warm, blurred tones, shows a couple embracing from behind, in keeping with that vintage aesthetic. It includes tracks such as «Nowadays», «My Lovely Mirror» and «Real (Get Me For…)».
The album is a CD with one disc and lyrics in English. It was originally released in Portugal in 1998, within the electronic and pop genres.
Recommended for listeners of nineties trip hop, ambient and electronic pop, as well as those following the Portuguese music scene.
