«1933. Ein ganz besonderer Jahrgang» is a commemorative history book by Gerald Drews, published by Pattloch Verlag in hardcover (45 pages, in German).
It is a visual journey through the year 1933 and the early years of those born then, with black-and-white period photographs: the cover shows two smiling babies and a film strip with historical snapshots. The whole evokes childhood and everyday life of that time, with a nostalgic and celebratory tone.
The work was published in 2012 and in several editions carries the subtitle «Zum 80. Geburtstag», associated with the celebration of the 80th birthday.
Designed as an 80th birthday gift, especially for people born in 1933, and for readers interested in the visual history of the era.
