«A Escola» is the educational essay by Paulo Chitas, published by the Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos in paperback (112 pages, in Portuguese).
The essay raises a real question: is it possible to successfully combat school failure? It follows the experience of a teacher at the Escola Secundária Rainha Santa Isabel, in Estremoz, who championed the Turma Mais project at the beginning of the 21st century. With advances and setbacks, the project showed that much can be achieved with few resources.
It was published on May 1, 2015 in the Retratos da Fundação collection. ISBN: 9789898819048.
For teachers, pedagogy students and readers interested in educational policies and improving academic success.
