«Andy Warhol» is Klaus Honnef's essay on the life and work of the pop artist, published by Taschen in paperback (95 pages, in Spanish).
The work portrays Andy Warhol as the leading exponent of Pop Art and a critical observer of American society: it exposes consumerism in series such as 'Campbell' and 'Brillo', his fascination with the tabloid press and the atmosphere of the New York Factory, which influenced the movies of the sixties and the magazine 'Interview'.
The original title, published in 1989 in German, was 'Andy Warhol, 1928-1987: Kunst als Kommerz'; the Spanish edition uses the subtitle 'El arte como negocio'.
For readers interested in Pop Art, the figure of Andy Warhol, American visual culture and artists' biographies.
