«Aranmanoth» is the fantasy novel by Ana María Matute, published by Planeta DeAgostini in hardcover (191 pages, in Spanish).
Aranmanoth, son of the Lord of Lines and a water fairy, grows up in a Middle Ages besieged by war. Guided by signs from trees and birds, he sets out with Windimanoth, his father's wife and mistress of his love, toward a destiny of fulfillment. The journey teaches them that beauty and love entail pain, and that reality besieges dreams.
