«Cuando se congele el infierno» is the novel by Jesús González Fernández, published in paperback by Septem Ediciones in 2012 (216 pages, in Spanish).

Gustave, model of the sculptor Camille Claudel, reconstructs his life after her death in 1943 with some notebooks. The story goes from Camille's childhood and her vocation for sculpture to her stormy relationship with Auguste Rodin and her confinement of nearly thirty years in the Montdevergues sanatorium, in the artistic Paris of the turn of the century.

This first edition was a finalist for the 10th edition of the Emilio Alarcos Llorach International Novel Prize, and the author presented it under the title «Niña de barro».
