«Cuarteto» is the crime novel by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, published by Grijalbo Mondadori in hardcover (93 pages, in Spanish).
In the Caribbean, a shrewd investigator delves into a web of relationships and secrets surrounding a group of unsettling characters. What seems like a quartet turns out to be five, the two couples break apart, and the police investigation leads nowhere. Manuel Vázquez Montalbán weaves together encounters and separations until a denouement in which calm finally appears.
Cuarteto belongs to the Libro de Mano collection from Grijalbo Mondadori, in its 1997 edition.
Manuel Vázquez Montalbán was a prolific Spanish writer from Barcelona: journalist, novelist, poet, essayist, anthologue, prologist, humorist, critic and political prisoner as well as a gastronome and an FC Barcelona supporter.
