«De Tánger al Nilo» is Javier Valenzuela's chronicle of North Africa, published by Los Libros de la Catarata in paperback (229 pages, in Spanish).
It describes North Africa, from the Atlantic to the Red Sea, where some 200 million people live with despotism, corruption and social imbalances, yet retain the pride of an old civilization. Against the European view of immigration, Islamism and terrorism, the chronicle updates Ibn Battuta's eastern travels in the 14th century.
The subtitle «Crónica del Norte de África» heads the paperback edition of the Mayor collection, published in 2011.
For readers interested in the history and sociopolitical reality of North Africa.
