«Diessen am Ammersee: Ehem. Augustiner-Chorherren-Stift» is the art-historical guide by Dagmar Dietrich published by Schnell & Steiner in paperback.
The book traces the history of the former Augustinian canons' monastery of Diessen am Ammersee and focuses on its architecture, especially the church and its ornaments. The cover, with a Baroque painting of divine figures among clouds, anticipates the volume's interest in interior decoration.
Published in 1986 and written in German. It belongs to the Große Kunstführer series (number 128) and includes a text by Heinrich Winterholler on the canons' crypt and the nicknames of the provosts.
Recommended for those interested in art history, religious architecture and sacred art.
