«Edgar Degas» is the art monograph by Timm Schneiders, published by Book Sales in hardcover (119 pages, in English).
Timm Schneiders introduces the reader to Edgar Degas, a founding member of Impressionism who, unlike his colleagues, worked in the studio and focused his work on the human figure, rather than on landscape. The volume reviews his career and pays special attention to his now-famous dancers, with accessible texts and reproductions of his paintings.
The original edition dates from February 1991. It is a 119-page monograph in English with reproductions of the painter's works.
A suitable read for those interested in Impressionism and in the figure of Degas, with a visual and accessible approach.
