«Eine Liebesgeschichte» is Carl Zuckmayer's collection of short stories, published by Fischer Taschenbuch in paperback (240 pages, in German).
It brings together stories written between 1931 and 1938, with settings ranging from 1930s Berlin to rural landscapes. The title story, set in the eighteenth century, is a parable about the tension between duty and inclination; other texts address guilt, exile and reconciliation.
This edition was published in September 1995 and belongs to the series «Carl Zuckmayer, Gesammelte Werke in Einzelbänden».
For readers of short fiction in German and classic stories set in the 1930s.
