«El ángel caído» is Harold Bloom's essay on fallen angels in literature, published by Ediciones Paidós in hardcover (96 pages, in Spanish).
Starting from the angels expelled from heaven, Harold Bloom traces this figure in the literary tradition, from biblical passages to authors such as Tony Kushner. With watercolors by Marc Podwal, he reflects on Satan and on the idea that the human participates in the fallen angelic, with angels as a metaphor for death.
First title in the El Arco de Ulises collection, published by Ediciones Paidós in October 2008.
