«El Club Dumas» is the mystery novel by Arturo Pérez-Reverte, published by Alfaguara in hardcover (464 pages, in Spanish).
Lucas Corso, a hunter of old books, receives a double commission: to authenticate a manuscript of Los tres mosqueteros and to solve the enigma of a volume burned in 1667 with its printer. The search traverses inquisitorial archives and antiquarian bookshops, in a plot that mixes adventure serial, detective story and divination games.
This edition was published in 2008; the novel was adapted to film by Roman Polanski as La novena puerta.
A work for lovers of suspense literature and stories about bibliophiles.
