«El cuaderno de Celia» is the children's and young adult novel by Elena Fortún, published by Editorial Renacimiento in paperback (232 pages, in Spanish).
As an adult, Celia recovers a notebook she left forgotten at age nine in the convent of the Poor Clares in Pinto. In it she recounts the thirty days she spent in seclusion before receiving her first communion. The figure of Sister Inés is inspired by the Argentine writer Inés Field, whose friendship marked the spirituality of Elena Fortún.
Published in 2017, it is the eighth volume of the Biblioteca Elena Fortún collection. It includes a prologue by Paloma Gómez Borrero, an introduction by Nuria Capdevila-Argüelles, and illustrations by Mariano Zaragüeta.
For readers of children's and young adult fiction, followers of the Celia saga, and those interested in classics of Spanish literature.
