«El encuentro» is the literary fiction novel by Jesús Ruiz Mantilla, published by Galaxia Gutenberg in hardcover (96 pages, in Spanish).
In 1605, an English delegation arrives in Valladolid to sign the peace; William Shakespeare was among its members, though it is unknown whether he traveled. Cervantes lived in Valladolid, where he had just published Don Quixote. Jesús Ruiz Mantilla imagines what they might have discussed: literature, writing, power, criticism, the public and personal matters.
Published in June 2020, it belongs to Galaxia Gutenberg's Narrativa collection; the subtitle is «Y si Cervantes y Shakespeare se hubieran conocido».
For readers who enjoy historical hypotheses and imagined encounters between famous writers.
