Los recuerdos se desgranan: la huida de su familia tras la invasión almohade y el largo camino del exilio que lo lleva a recorrer toda la costa del Mediterráneo, al tiempo que su fama como médico, filósofo, teólogo y, sobre todo, sabio se va acrecentando hasta hacer de él una de las figuras esenciales de la historia del pensamiento.
