«Ellos y nosotras: Tratado contra la mutilación cerebral femenina» is the essay by Carmen Freixa, published by Icaria in paperback (192 pages, in Spanish).
The essay brings together psychological strategies for women to feel better about themselves: self-esteem, professional success, bad mood and relationships. It argues that women should not be the pillar of their own sacrifice and that men, favorable to their liberation, still expect them to take on domestic duties; so they must review their social role.
First edition published in Barcelona on April 28, 1998; it belongs to the Ocho de marzo collection, no. 8. The author is a psychologist specializing in human sexuality.
For readers interested in female psychology, couple relationships and the role of women in today's society.
