«Escritos políticos (1932-1962)» is the collection of political writings by Hermann Hesse, published by Bruguera in paperback (184 pages, in Spanish).
The texts, written between 1932 and 1962, reflect the defense of spiritual independence against parties and cliques. The author's isolation after World War I is presented as a conscious renunciation of subjecting one's own judgment to partisan solidarity, and these writings go beyond protest and indignation.
Translation from German by Herminia Dauer. Texts selected and annotated by Volker Michels. Belongs to the Libro Amigo collection by Bruguera, number 1502/627.
For readers interested in philosophy and political thought, as well as in Hermann Hesse's essayistic side.
Hermann Karl Hesse was a German-Swiss poet and novelist, and winner of the 1946 Nobel Prize in Literature. His interest in Eastern religious, spiritual, and philosophical traditions, combined with his involvement with Jungian analysis, helped shape his literary work. His best-known novels include Demian, Steppenwolf, Siddhartha, Narcissus and Goldmund, and The Glass Bead Game, each of which explores an individual's search for authenticity, self-knowledge, and spirituality.
