«Flora Poste y los artistas» is the satirical novel by Stella Gibbons, published by Impedimenta in paperback (224 pages, in Spanish).
Sequel to «La hija de Robert Poste»: Flora Poste returns to Howling to help the Starkadders, whose farm, Cold Comfort, is now a rustic museum hosting a congress of artists and intellectuals. Stella Gibbons turns the conference into a satire of the English artistic establishment and its attempts to impress the locals.
Translation by José C. Vales. English title: «Conference at Cold Comfort Farm». Volume 44 of the Impedimenta collection.
For readers of classic fiction and satirical humor, especially those already familiar with «La hija de Robert Poste».
Stella Dorothea Gibbons was an English author, journalist, and poet. She established her reputation with her first novel, Cold Comfort Farm (1932), which has been reprinted many times. Although she was active as a writer for half a century, none of her later 22 novels or other literary works—which included a sequel to Cold Comfort Farm—achieved the same critical or popular success. Much of her work was long out of print before a modest revival in the 21st century.
