«Gálvez en Euskadi» is the crime novel by Jorge M. Reverte, published by Editorial Anagrama in paperback (156 pages, in Spanish).
In the early 1980s, journalist Julio Gálvez travels to the Basque Country to cover the kidnapping of the director of a Swedish multinational, a case that seems to be the work of ETA. In his investigation he runs into civil guards, police officers, ETA members and a society he finds incomprehensible, in a thriller tinged with humor featuring a paranoid protagonist.
The novel is number 50 in Anagrama's Contraseñas collection and the second installment in the saga starring Julio Gálvez, after «Demasiado para Gálvez».
A story for readers who appreciate crime fiction with humor and an ironic portrait of the Basque Country in the 1980s.
Jorge Martínez Reverte was a Spanish writer, journalist, and historian, specializing in the Spanish Civil War.
