«Historia de los Papas: Desde San Pedro hasta Francisco» is the historical essay by Luis-Tomás Melgar Gil and Editorial Team (Libsa, paperback, 448 pages).
It reviews the biographies of the pontiffs, from Saint Peter to Francis, as a historical journey that does not require a particular faith. The papacies intersect with conflicts with monarchs and authorities, power struggles, social traits of each era, charitable attitudes and selfish gestures, with positive and negative aspects of the institution.
Volume 18 of the «Historia de...» collection by Libsa. First edition published on November 19, 2014.
Aimed at readers interested in the history of the Church and the evolution of the papacy as an institution.
