Synopsis of Josep M. Rendé i Ventosa
Este libro narra la biografía de Josep M. Rendé i Ventosa, un propietario agrícola catalanista nacido en Espluga de Francolí en 1876 y fallecido en Cabra del Camp en 1925. Rendé i Ventosa impulsó el movimiento cooperativista agrario, creando cajas rurales, sindicatos agrícolas y bodegas. Se convirtió en un referente en el sector, impartiendo conferencias y asesorando a sindicatos. Propuso la articulación de los sindicatos en federaciones agrícolas para fortalecer su autoridad en la elaboración y comercialización de productos. Además de autor de libros y artículos agrarios, fue director del Servicio de Acción Social Agraria en la Mancomunidad de Cataluña, donde trabajó en la creación y consolidación de sindicatos. Su carrera se vio truncada con la dictadura de Primo de Rivera, cuando fue destituido por protestar contra una purga a un científico social.
