«La caja de las orquídeas» is the science fiction novel by Herbert W. Franke, published by Martínez Roca in paperback (174 pages, in Spanish).
Instead of crewed ships, humanity sends «informaciones» capable of generating «células robot» that explore and transmit data back to Earth. That adventure leads to a rationalized nightmare and raises questions about the perception of reality and the individual's situation in technified, totalitarian worlds.
Original title: «Der Orchideenkäfig». Translated from German by Mireia Bofill. Number 36 of the Super Ficción Collection.
For readers of classic science fiction interested in technological dystopias and the role of the individual in future societies.
