La carne es yerba es una novela del escritor español Manuel Vicent, publicada en 1987. La historia se desarrolla en España durante la posguerra y narra la vida de una familia marcada por la pobreza, el hambre y la represión política. A través de los ojos del protagonista, un niño llamado Miguel, el lector es testigo de las duras condiciones de vida en la España rural de la época, así como de los sueños y esperanzas de sus habitantes.
