Jim Hawkins, a boy who helps his mother at the inn, gets the treasure map of the pirate Flint and boards the Hispaniola. During the voyage he discovers that Long John Silver, the cook, is a former pirate planning a mutiny; upon reaching the island, the loyal and the mutineers clash.
