«La Trahison des dieux» is the historical fantasy novel by Marion Zimmer Bradley, published by France Loisirs in hardcover (475 pages, in French).
A reinterpretation of the Trojan War narrated from the perspective of Kassandra, princess and priestess of Troy. Bradley combines mythology and historical recreation to transform the Homeric heroes into flesh-and-blood characters, trapped in a conflict that drags down both victors and vanquished and culminates in the fall of the city.
This is the French translation of The Firebrand, the original novel published in 1987; this edition dates from 1990.
For readers of historical fiction and Greek mythology seeking a novelized recreation of the Trojan War.
Marion Eleanor Zimmer Bradley was an American author of fantasy, historical fantasy, science fiction, and science fantasy novels and is best known for the Arthurian fiction novel The Mists of Avalon and the Darkover series. She was noted for the female perspective in her writing, something before little-seen in sword and sorcery fantasy.
