The author recounts her life in the Creuse, where she lives with cats and poultry: hens, pigeons, peacocks and ducks. She narrates from the arrival of the first hens to raising an abandoned squab or caring for sick peacocks. Childhood memories mingle with reflections on the animal world and her career.
Subtitled «récit», it was originally published in 2011. Anny Duperey, a French actress and writer, interweaves rural chronicle with personal memory.
Aimed at readers interested in autobiography, rural life and the animal world.
