«Les condamnés» is the photography and testimony book by Philippe Castetbon, published by H&O in paperback (116 pages, in French).
Journalist Philippe Castetbon contacted around fifty men living in countries where homosexuality is illegal through gay dating sites. Each one appears portrayed with their face hidden and offers their personal testimony about the exclusion, fear and violence they suffer because of their sexual orientation in countries such as Cameroon, Yemen, Malaysia or Jamaica.
The subtitle of the work is «Dans mon pays, ma sexualité est un crime». Published in 2010 by H&O, the book combines photography and first-person accounts.
For readers interested in photojournalism, human rights and the social reality of the LGBT community in countries with homophobic laws.
