«Les Secrets de l'Exode» is the historical essay by Messod and Roger Sabbah, published by Jean-Cyrille Godefroy Editions in paperback (555 pages, in French).
The authors identify the Hebrew people of the Exodus with the monotheistic population of Akhet-Aton, expelled after the death of Akhenaten. They compare the Hebrew alphabet with hieroglyphs and Genesis with Egyptian cosmology, and see in biblical names such as Abraham or Moses titles of pharaohs: Egyptian wisdom survives in the Hebrew tradition.
Subtitled «L'origine égyptienne des Hébreux», it is the first volume of the work and includes bibliographic references.
For readers of history, religion and Egyptology with an interest in the connections between ancient Egypt and the Hebrew tradition.
